What’s been happening:

Dr. Vic S. Gladstone is Chief Staff Officer for Audiology at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). As Chief Staff Officer for Audiology, Dr. Gladstone is responsible for not only audiology activities but, ASHA's Clinical Certification, Academic Program Accreditation, Ethics, and Academic Affairs areas. ASHA is the scientific, professional, and credentialing association serving the needs of 135,000 certified audiologists, certified speech-language pathologists and speech, language, hearing scientists. Dr. Gladstone was a full professor and Director of Audiology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Towson University just north of Baltimore, MD where he had been on the faculty since January of 1970. He received his Bachelor of Science degree (1968) in Speech Pathology and Audiology and his Master of Science degree (1969) in Audiology from The Pennsylvania State University and his doctorate (1977) in Audiology from the University of Maryland. Dr. Gladstone is a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and represented Maryland on the ASHA Legislative Council (the association's policy-making body) from 1977 through 1992. He served as a member of the Long Range Planning Committee, Long Range Strategic Planning Board, Committee on Financial Planning, Financial Planning Board, and Council on Professional Ethics. As the Vice President for Administration and Planning (1993-1995), he was involved in the implementation and monitoring of the association's Long Range Strategic Plan as well as the annual review
